Dr. G. V. K . Murthy

B.E, M.Tech, Ph.D

Dr. G. V. K. Murthy is a versatile professional with profound academic and research acumen with more than 23 years of experience. He held different positions in his career as Principal, Vice Principal, Director-IQAC, Dean of Student Affairs, Head of the Department, BoS Chairman, Member of Statutory bodies, and other academic positions. His field of specialization is Electrical Distribution Systems, Electrical Power Systems Analysis, Computer Methods in Power Systems, Power system Operation and Control, and Application of Optimization Techniques to solve engineering problems. He received his Bachelor of Engineering from the University College of Engineering, Andhra University, a Master's degree from the University College of Engineering, JNTU, Hyderabad, and a Doctoral degree from JNTU Kakinada. During his academic tenure, he published more than twenty-seven research papers in various National and International Journals and more than four research proceedings at various National and International Conferences. Dr. G. V. K. Murthy is acting as a resource person in various institutions, a reviewer for the Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology, “Electric Power and Components systems”-Taylor & Francis, International Journal on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, etc. In addition to all the accolades, he is a member of the editorial board for various journals and conferences, etc. He authored about three textbook chapters in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering especially power quality issues in distribution systems. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers (India), the IRED, InSc, IAENG, WASET, and SDIWC societies and acted as a chair for various events. His research work is evident with one granted patent and four published patents. He always tries to update his technical knowledge by attending various workshops, FDPs, and seminars conducted in multi-disciplinary areas such as IoT, Machine Learning, Electric Vehicles, NAAC accreditation procedures, MATLAB applications, etc.
